Spring Smoothie Recipe

I’ve recently been enjoying blueberry smoothies and I wanted to share a quick recipe with you guys! I always used to use water in my smoothies, but since I started running I’ve noticed they just aren’t filling me up enough. That’s when I discovered BOB Milk! But hang on, who is Bob!?

So BOB stands for Best of Both, and it’s the new milk by Arla. Why it so good? And why do we need a new type of milk!? Well, “Best of Both” milk is a new yellow-topped milk that’s low fat like skimmed milk, but is as tasty as semi-skimmed. It really tastes lovely, and the fact that it has no added artificial ingredients or additives is a bonus.

I’ve noticed that since swapping out water for BOB milk my smoothies are tastier and creamier, and they definitely fill me up more — perfect for after my runs to refuel me!

Ingredients

  • 150ml Arla BOB milk
  • 80g blueberries
  • 1⁄2 a banana
  • Honey (to taste)

Directions

Simply throw it in the NutriBullet (or your favourite blender)! A little tip: I find that the NutriBullet warms things up as it’s operating, so I like to ensure half of my blueberries are frozen in order to keep it all nice and chilled.

I hope you enjoy this recipe, and thank you to Arla for sending me the milk to try out with the smoothie recipe!

Let me know if you have any great smoothie recipes, or if you’ve spotted this new yellow milk in the supermarkets!
