Bohemia is an uber-trendy new café/restaurant that’s just opened in St Neots. If you read my Horsebox blog post you’ll remember that I mentioned the owners were opening a new cafe, and this is the very place.
They’ve done such a great job in such little time. I happened to see the place while the guys were working on it a couple of weeks before opening and it was a building site! They only had a few weeks between getting the keys and opening and let’s just say a LOT of work had to be done, but they did an amazing job. You can tell how passionate they are and how much dedication they have to make Bohemia something special by the amount they achieved in such a short space of time.
I’ve just got to admit something right now… it was so good there I went back twice in two days!
My first visit was with my sister for brunch. I had a tea and a chorizo hash, which was super tasty and filled me up for the rest of the day until dinner time! After being so impressed by the brunch I decided that before writing my blog post I needed to go back to try out the cocktails and tapas for dinner.
My second visit was with M for dinner. I ordered a blueberry mojito to drink and it was really tasty. I’m not a huge fan of alcohol, especially when it’s strong in cocktails, however this mojito was lovely and sweet and didn’t taste too strongly of alcohol! For tapas we ordered 6 dishes and it was the perfect amount. We ordered the king prawn and chorizo skewers, mixed fresh breads, ras el hanout tzatziki, grilled paprika halloumi, glazed pork belly and the crispy calamari. Everything was lovely but we particularly enjoyed the pork belly and the prawn and chorizo skewers. Definitely try them!
The guys were friendly and welcoming as always and the rest of the team were lovely, they really have a great thing going on and I can’t wait to visit again as often as I can!
I have to say I’m really looking forward to sitting outside in the summer (they have outdoor seating!) with a cocktail and some nibbles! It’s something the town had sorely missed and the Bohemia guys really feel like St Neots is an up-and-coming town. I will be back!
Let me know if you’ve been to Bohemia and what you thought!
