I recently had an email pop into my inbox letting me know about the coffee morning that M&S are holding in their Cambridge store. Sadly I couldn’t make the date, however I was already planning to attend my friend’s coffee morning that managed to raise £120, which was amazing as it wasn’t a large event. Everything helps when it comes to donations, and it’s definitely made me think about planning one next year. Come on, coffee and cake and all the money goes to Macmillan… there’s not really an excuse why you wouldn’t want to hold one!! It also has the added benefit of getting the chance to catch up with friends!
The lovely people at M&S sent me a Macmillan apron and cookie pack. You can find their Macmillan range online and in-store. They also have a white bone china mug, a set of three tea towels, a keychain and a cake tin. 10% of all profits from these items go to Macmillan.
If you’re not going to a coffee morning or if you’re unsure where your nearest one is then you can check on their website to find your nearest one.
Macmillan Cancer Support is a charity close my heart. We probably all know someone who’s been affected by cancer so it really deserves all our support. I know a few people who have been affected recently and it’s really made me realise that while they can be fun, these charity events are really quite important. As I’m growing older I’m becoming more aware of what I spend my money on. I try and help whenever can, and I’ve given more this month due to the coffee morning raising my awareness and reminding me to give more often!
Have you held a coffee morning before? I’m certainly thinking of holding my own next time! To find out more information you can check out the Macmillan website and the M&S Macmillan Coffee Morning webpage.
