MyBloomsbury Hotel

After weeks of searching for a hotel for my long birthday weekend in London I decided I would leave it last minute and get a great deal! Most people think it’s an expensive way of doing it but I used Hotel Tonight and got such a good deal!

My dad recommended the Hotel Tonight app to me a while ago and I can tell I’ll be using it lots in the future. I was super impressed how easy it was to find a hotel. You can only search for the next 7 days so you get a great price, and we left it very last minute and booked the night before!

I hadn’t heard of the My Hotels group before but they looked fantastic and I was super excited. The MyBloomsbury hotel is in such a great location, a quick walk to Oxford Street and close to Covent Garden! Just what I needed for a day or two of cheeky London birthday shopping!

When we checked-in we were shown two rooms to choose from. I was so busy checking out how gorgeous the rooms where decorated I actually ended up picking the smaller room (my bad), but the lighting was better in that room for photos! After a while, and realising me and my sister had to get ready in the room, and that we’d need to keep all the shopping there and have a relaxing birthday morning, we decided it would get a bit claustrophobic! We had the option to upgrade to a superior room for £20 more, and it was definitely worth it for the extra space.

The room was trendy but minimal with a splash of colour (yellow) and a little tweed! The bathroom was spacious and had a really nice shower, but no bath unfortunately! However some of their superior rooms do have baths.

Amazingly the hotel had a Gail’s bakery joined to it. If you haven’t heard of Gail’s then let’s just say they are very popular with a great and well deserved reputation! Obviously we had croissants for breakfast from there!

The staff were so nice and friendly, even with us bothering them and moving rooms! I was super happy with my experience and can definitely see us rebooking this hotel. The design and location are just perfect!
