I can’t believe I’m doing this…

It’s time to talk about something that’s been in the working for some time now. It’s made me nervous, excited and terrified… but it’s something I’ve been wanting to do ever since I discovered my passion for blogging and YouTubing…

I’m leaving my job, kissing goodbye to security and following my dreams!

It all starts with my new blog and I hope you love my new branding. It’s been in the making for the past few months and while I loved my old blog, I felt I’d outgrown it. I wanted a blog that also features my other content on other platforms like my Instagram and YouTube channel, and also conveys more of my style as a whole. I’m so happy I made the move over to WordPress – it’s taken lots of stressful late nights to move from Perch to WordPress, but we made it!

Some of you might know I started a new job about 3 months ago, however it just wasn’t for me and I couldn’t settle. It wasn’t what I’m passionate about doing and it didn’t make me happy.

So I did the most scary thing I could think of… I handed in my notice!

When I started Sophie Kate I didn’t know where it was going to go, but I’ve always known from day one that I wanted my blog and YouTube channel to my main priority and to grow it to a point where it could be my job. I just love creating content and engaging and chatting with all of you lovely lot.

So when I handed in my notice I decided it was time. It was now or never. I decided to become a full-time blogger and YouTuber! Eeeekkk!

There’s still a long way to go and there may be a bit of client and freelance work just to help along the way, but it’s official, I’m now doing a job that makes me 100% happy! I’m so excited to see where this goes and to put my all into my content. I have some pretty exciting things planned!

While all that sounds amazing, I’m not going to lie, I spent two weeks feel so scared and nervous with worry. But in the end, life’s too short to be stuck in a job you’re not passionate about. If you want change and are willing to work hard then you can make anything happen! I know its not going to always be easy and I know I’m going to have to start swapping the avocados for jacket potatoes, but in my eyes, it’s worth it to try and achieve my goals.

I also wanted to say thank you if you’ve been reading my blog for a while, or if you watch my YouTube channel or follow my Instagram. However you support me, I’m so so grateful. Without you guys this wouldn’t exist!

I’d love to hear from you if there’s anything you’d like to see more of on my blog or Youtube channel, which by the way if you’re not subscribed to then head over to youtube.com/sophiekateblogs and click that big red subscribe button!!

That’s all for now and I’m looking forward to bringing you so much more content in the future!

Love Sophie x
