S O R R Y   I N   A D V A N C E for this very chatty post!!

So the other day I was walking through Kings Cross feeling like a mega girl boss… okay so maybe I’m not a complete girl boss type business women… but I was thinking how much I’ve changed in a year. I now go down to London and do tube journeys on my own which last year would have completely freaked me out… and you know what? I FREAKIN’ LOVE IT!

Why do I love it so much? Because one, I feel independent, and two, because I love my own company at times. I’m not saying I don’t love my own company on days I’m working from home on my own, but there’s something about doing new things on my own that has really grown my confidence over the past year. My blog has made me become my own person and because of my blog I’ve done plenty of new things.

I guess I wanted to do a bit of a check-in about how good old self-employed life is going! It’s going well and I’m enjoying being able to pop over to London to events rather than turning them down with the “ohhh sorry but I’ve got to go to work excuse”! Also I love working hard knowing I’ve got to work my freakin’ arse off to make this work out! Laying in bed all day isn’t going to bring in any dolla! I love being my own boss, and I’m not gonna lie the first few weeks I was pretty scared and anxious, thinking “is anyone ever going to work with me!?” but come on, who doesn’t have those worries in self-employed life!?

These past few weeks have been pretty crazy. I’ve worked with two Cambridge shopping centres — I was published in The Grafton Press and I’ll feature in The Grand Arcade’s Christmas Gift Guide. I’ve also attended a Laura Mercier Makeup Masterclass and a Bobbi Brown Makeup Masterclass, two brands I’ve always loved. I couldn’t believe I was attending their events! I’ve also been gifted some incredible things which I’ll be blogging about soon. I crazily won Lydia Elise Millen’s giveaway, I’m not sure how though, I never win anything! Find my video of it here.

So what’s to come over the next few weeks? Lots of content and planning in the run-up to Christmas, and I want to try and be as organised as possible. With blogging most events and opportunities always come up last minute so I want to plan ahead so when they do pop up I’ll have time to go.

I hope you enjoyed this chatty blog post and I hope you all enjoyed lots of fireworks at the weekend!

I’m sure I’ve mentioned before how I am in awe of your blog theme. It’s so perfect!

I’m also the same in terms of loving my own company at times, looking back to my teenage self though I wouldn’t have been seen DEAD doing anything alone. Funny how we grow out of certain mindsets. I love how simple this outfit is and I’m a sucker for a monochrome anything & that jumper looks incredibly cosey!

Congrats on doing so well this year, things can only get better in the new year!

Awww thank you, Sarah! It’s so funny how we change as we grow older! The jumper is so cosy and comes in so many colours definitely a good purchase! 🙂

Well done on all your achievements so far. The advantages of being your own boss far outweigh the disadvantages so keep going for it!
