Heading Back to The Fish Hotel for their Refurb Party!

The other week Michael and I headed back to the Cotswolds, one of our favourite places! We were going back to The Fish Hotel, which you may remember I stayed at a few years ago (I blogged about it here). We were invited to attend a launch party for their new refurbishment and the opening of Hook, their new restaurant. I have to admit they’ve done an excellent job. When I last went I didn’t even think they needed a refurb, but they’ve really put money and effort behind it as it’s now even more special than before.

The Fish certainly knows how to throw a party. The evening was buzzing, they’d lit up all the trees different colours and had fire lanterns. The whole hotel looked stunning.

So whats new I hear you ask!? They’ve completely moved the reception into another building, which is the one you first see on arrival. We were staying in The Stables building which is the same building we stayed in last time, however this time we stayed in one of the smaller rooms as opposed to the suite. It was a lovely cosy room painted grey with a super comfortable bed. It also had a bath although I didn’t have enough time to relax in it this visit.

The restaurant has really changed and the food was delicious! We got to enjoy the menu throughout the night, and we had cod cheeks, haddock risotto, mushroom risotto, lemon tart, a chocolatey cake thing and sooo much more. The Fish also now have a dining terrace too which looks like it will be so great in the summer. Let’s not forgot the breakfast too… in the morning we had such a relaxing chilled out breakfast. The food was delicious (sausages were 👌🏻) and there was so much choice. I couldn’t ask for a better start to the day in the gorgeous surroundings.

Also, and the most exciting news ever… coming in May are TREEHOUSES… OHHHH GOSH I CAN’T WAIT!! They look so good. They’re opening 3 treehouses that sleeps up to four people each. They’re also opening shepherds huts too! I’m so excited to experience what they will be like, and I’ll be sure to take lots of photos and share it with you guys the next time I get to visit my favourite getaway location.

We were kindly invited to the launch party at The Fish Hotel. We also decided to pay for our room to stay the night so we could properly enjoy it. All views are my own honest opinions. For more information please see my disclaimer.
