I wanted to do a blog post for turning 25 so I can look back on it in the future, and also so I can share it with all you lovely people!
My day started relaxing, having a nice long lie-in and making the most of a lazy morning in bed. I got up and went to collect my sister from the station, and when I got back it was clear Michael had been super busy — he decorated the room with balloons and banners (you’re never too old!).
After opening my lovely presents and having a nice continental breakfast we headed off to Cambridge for a bit of shopping and lunch! We went to Smokeworks which is where I have been wanting to go to for ages. It was sooooo good and we were all VERY full afterwards. It’s a restaurant by Cambscuisine; I’ve been to and loved most of their other restaurants so I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed. It’s such a different restaurant to their others but in a really good way. I had an amazing pulled pork bun with sweet potato fries ? I’m addicted to sweet potato fries — I think if there was one food I had to pick to eat for the rest of my life it would be them!!
After lunch we had planned to go to 6 Ice Cream however sadly we were way too full and didn’t end up making it. We also had a Millie’s cookie cake at home to snack on so we decided to wait until we were hungry later and nibble on that.
When we got back we put down our phones and messed around with balloons, playing keepie uppie and piggy in the middle (very childish but fun!). We then snuggled up on the sofa and watched Ratatouille as I haven’t seen it before.
In the evening I had more family over for drinks and to open more presents… I was a very lucky girl! We went out for a lovely family dinner at a Turkish restaurant. Being part Greek I love my Greek/Turkish food! I turned off the camera so I could enjoy the last few hours of my birthday with my family (they are always taking the mick out of me for always being on the camera!).
This post was a last minute decision so sorry if the photos are a bit blurry, I didn’t plan on posting them ?
