I thought I’d do a chatty blog post today to talk about some of the things I’ve learnt since blogging.
Archives for June 2016
Yesterday I did something that I wasn’t expecting to do until well into the later part of my life… I went to an open gardens! Not really the most obviously interesting way for a 25 year old to spend her Saturday morning!
The sun was shining last weekend in Cambridge and it was just perfect for a picnic in the park, which makes a nice change from what I usually do in Cambridge… shop!
I’m a huge fan of The British Bake Off and Mary Berry the “Queen of Puddings”, so when I was asked to review her new desserts I was happy and looking forward to indulging my sweet tooth! Her two new desserts are a Luxury Summer Fruit Pudding and a Belgian Chocolate Brownie Pudding.
I bumped into Laura from LovedByLaura a few weeks ago she invited me to Ladies Day at Royal Ascot as she’d been invited to attend by Appletiser. How could I say no!? I’d never been to Ascot before, and even better, I’d get to dress up and be a “lady” for the day! It’s not
Bohemia is an uber-trendy new café/restaurant that’s just opened in St Neots. If you read my Horsebox blog post you’ll remember that I mentioned the owners were opening a new cafe, and this is the very place. They’ve done such a great job in such little time. I
I used to hate getting small samples of products as I never used them and they always just turned into clutter! Recently however I’ve started to actually use them and I’ve totally changed my mind. I now love them, they’re such a great way to try out new products without having to spend loads money on then… obviously! I decided I wanted to share with you some of my recently discovered samples that made me want to go and buy the full products.
Neal’s Yard is up there with my favourite ever brands, so when they contacted me to tell me about World Oceans Day and that they are the first UK brand to be “Look for the Zero” certified I was super interested and keen to find out more.
On Saturday morning after my run I really fancied a toastie. I’d heard that The Horsebox has been doing the St Neots farmer’s market for a few weeks so I decided to head over to St Neots to try them out. Their horsebox is really funky and decorated quirkily with flags and pots of herbs!
I spent yesterday with my sister and we thought it would be nice and sunny as it’s the 2nd of June… this definitely wasn’t the case so we didn’t feel like spending too much time outside. Even with the rubbish weather we ended up having such a fun day.
Wow, how is it June already!? I’ve really enjoyed May and I’ve bought quite a few new beauty products to try this month. Some I really love and have made it into my monthly favourites, and others I’m still deciding on! I hope you enjoy my favourites for this month!
