May Favourites

Wow, how is it June already!? I’ve really enjoyed May and I’ve bought quite a few new beauty products to try this month. Some I really love and have made it into my monthly favourites, and others I’m still deciding on! I hope you enjoy my favourites for this month!

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream

I’m going to be honest, I hadn’t even heard of NYX at all until there was suddenly so much talk about them now being available in the UK. My twitter feed went mad for NYX so I had to go and see what all the fuss was about! After buying this and realising how impressive it is I now have a long NYX wish list! NYX is also really affordable which is great. The staying power of the lip cream is really impressive. I was worried it would be too glossy (lip glosses just don’t work well on me as they seem to go in an instant) however this lip cream dries to be like a matte lipstick, which is perfect! I also love the colour of my one, which is Morocco. I can’t wait to add more to my collection.

NYX are starting to pop-up in Boots stores across the country. They’re opening in the Queensgate Boots on the 26th June and I can’t wait!

KIKO Out of Bounds Eye Liner Pen

I’m really not the best at putting on eye liner as my hands are never steady enough, and I always find it never lasts long or the pens dry out really quickly. I bought this one after seeing Fleur de Force talking about it in her video and it’s been the best eye liner pen I’ve owned. It stays on and it’s a really nice black, not a dull grey/black. I’m so happy I bought this and I’ve been wearing eye liner most days since owning it. I’ve just seen that it’s limited edition so I’m going to have to stock up on it quick!

L’Oreal Nude Magique Cushion

This is another new product to the UK that America has had for a while. I spotted them in Boots and thought I’d try it as I need new foundation and was ready for a bit of a change. Annoyingly I can’t tell you which colour I got as the number/colour only seemed to be on the outer plastic that you throw away!! Which is a bit silly as I’d have no idea which one to re-buy later. I wasn’t sure about this product at first as I was using the sponge it came with for the first few days and wasn’t too impressed with it, however I started using my Real Techniques sponge and it totally changed my thoughts. It was so much easier to apply and build up. It also comes in a bronzer that I would like to try next.

Revlon One Coconut Hair Treatment

This claims to have 10 real benefits… I’m not sure how one product can cover so many things however I’m not complaining as I’ve been using it everyday since I bought it and it seems to be standing up to it’s claims. It’s pretty amazing! The 10 benefits are:

  1. Repairs dry & damage hair
  2. Shine & frizz control
  3. Heat protection
  4. Silkiness & smoothness
  5. Hair colour protection with UVA & UVB
  6. Easier brushing & ironing
  7. Incredible detangling
  8. Long lasting hairstyle
  9. Split ends prevention
  10. Adds body
