If you’ve been following my blog and YouTube channel then you’ll know that a few weeks ago I went to the launch of the Grow Gorgeous Strengthening Oil. If you didn’t catch it then you can watch my vlog of the evening (it was a very fun night with maybe a few too many glasses of Prosecco!! Grow Gorgeous definitely know how to put on an event!). On the evening I discovered some more of their haircare range and wanted to share it with you!
There’s also a chance to WIN some of their goodies too… so keep reading!
I’m definitely an evening person rather than a morning person, so the thought of having a nice evening bath and applying this hair masque and pampering myself was perfect. You put it in your hair before bed and when you wake up you’re meant to be able to rinse and go! I found however that for my hair type I needed to shampoo this product out my hair as when I just rinsed it it left my hair feeling as if some product was still left in it!
After washing out this product my hair felt amazing, it was super soft! I didn’t need to wash my hair for a while afterwards as it doesn’t seem to get greasy as quickly, which is amazing as my hair needs washing pretty much every day! (I washed the product out on Sunday morning and my hair didn’t need washing again until Wednesday morning, which is incredible!). One tip though, the packaging says to sleep with a towel over your pillow but I didn’t like the feel of a towel on my head/face overnight. I simply wrapped a small towel inside my pillowcase. Or you can just buy a cheap pillowcase!). I’m super impressed with this hair masque and I’m definitely going to aim to do it once a week. I just love how soft my hair is after!
This product is great and it saves the need for a separate shampoo and conditioner. As I said earlier, I’m really not a morning person, so anything to save me time works well for me! I was surprised that this didn’t lather up the first time I used it… but it turns out I didn’t really read the packaging! I was stood in the shower for ages trying to make it lather and it turns out that it’s not supposed to! (Well done Sophie… next time read the packaging first!). Anyways, so basically the directions are to apply generous amounts to wet hair, massaging into the scalp, leave on for 3 minutes and then wash out. It’s so easy. I also love the fact it contains no harsh chemicals.
The cleansing conditioner has 12 functions:
- Deep cleanses
- Deep conditions
- Hydrates hair and scalp
- Adds lustre
- Adds shine
- Reduces frizz and flyaway (always a problem I’d had, until now! YAY!)
- Makes hair soft (yep, it definitely does!)
- Offers lasting smoothness
- Makes styling easier
- Adds protective shield
- Adds volume
- Enhances brunette tones using prismatic colour technology
They also do a cleansing conditioner for other hair colours!
A few weeks ago I was invited to launch of this new strengthening oil. It was such a fun evening and great to meet the lovely Grow Gorgeous team and so many lovely bloggers! Anyway, onto the oil! This oil protects your hair from day-to-day external aggressors such a UV rays, pollution and heat. I think hair oils are one thing people tend to overlook. We’re quick to protect our face with SPF products, but when it comes to hair it we don’t give it the same treatment. This oil works great in my hair – sometimes oils can leave my hair looking greasy however this one doesn’t at all. You can apply it to wet or dry hair. I like to add it to my hair when it’s wet, just to be sure my hair’s all protected when blow drying it. It’s a great addition to my morning routine.
I’ve really enjoyed using the Grow Gorgeous products and I’ve loved looking after my hair. Since using these products my hair’s been in much better condition!
Also, exciting news! I have GIVEAWAY for you…
