A few weeks ago I attended the Vuelio blog awards and I wanted to stay over in London not too far from the venue. I was looking in the Shoreditch area for hotels when I found the Ace Hotel! Having seen it a few times on Instagram I knew it was a hotel I had to try out! Also can I just say… I love discovering new hotels!

Whenever I’m in London I’m usually in central, however recently the past few times I’ve been around Shoreditch and it’s such a cool area I really want to explore more!

I loved stepping into the Ace Hotel, it has a very trendy feel to it! I have to mention that everyone in the downstairs café was on an Apple Mac laptop and it was super busy with people getting work done and drinking coffee! It was pretty busy for a Friday afternoon but we checked-in and went straight up to our room. We found we had great views of the city and could also see the Gherkin! The room had a very urban and trendy feel to it, clean but stylish, and the bed was super low!

After snapping plenty of photos I went up to have a nose at the roof-top bar. Knowing I would be out for the evening I wanted to check the views from the top. Sadly it wasn’t open in the afternoon ?

We took the opportunity to pre-order room service for breakfast (why not ay!??). I went for bacon and maple syrup pancakes and Michael went for the healthy avocado on toast with poached eggs and chilli. They turned out to be very tasty and just what we needed after our night out and a few too many drinks!

I really liked the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the hotel – they smelt amazing! In the bathroom there was basket full of useful items you could purchase if you had forgotten anything, which is a super convenient touch and could save you from having to go and find a Boots or Tesco nearby. If you’re anything like me you’ll often forget these things and it’s not until you go to bed that you realised you hadn’t packed something like make-up wipes!

The whole experience was great and it’s definitely going to be my go-to place if I’m in the area and need to stay over. They have some amazing larger rooms and suites that look incredible, so maybe one day I’ll upgrade and stay in one of those – and of course blog about it!

Here is my vlog from the stay:
