After lots of subtle hints to Michael about the many beauty advent calendars that came out for Christmas 2016, he chose well! He ordered the Lookfantastic Beauty Secret calendar after I watched the promo video they filmed for it. He kept it a secret from me all November and the poor guy had to put up with a month of me hinting about all the beauty advent calendars every time I saw another one or read another review. Oh there were so many good ones out there, which made him always worry if he had chosen the right one!
Archives for January 2017
Now that Christmas is all packed away I feel it’s time for a refresh! I love January… New Year, New Plans! It’s my month for change so today I wanted to chat about a change I want to make in my home. I love our home but it’s still not 100% perfect, so I wanted to share some of my current favourite corners and also include a wish list of my next updates!
Last Saturday I was invited to the at the in Wyboston Lakes and I most definitely wasn’t going to say no! It’s only 30 minutes away from Cambridge and had been on my list of things to do for a while.
On Christmas Eve I received the Shine Serum by Grow Gorgeous. It was perfect timing as the festive period is certainly the time of year I want my hair to dazzle!
I’d say it’s worth checking the website and getting directions before venturing off down the picturesque narrow country roads to the stunning Farncombe Estate. We thought we’d just wing-it and we ended up going all sorts of wrong places and finding the wrong entrances!
2017 is going to be my year of reading! If you’ve seen my what I got for Christmas video you’ll know how many books I received… so many books!! I’m so excited to crack one of my 2017 resolutions which is to read more. Before I can start reading any of these I need to finish my book from last year which is Everything Everything. It’s been a really good read so far and I’m so close to the finish now! Once I’ve finished that book I can dive-in to my 2017 reading list.
Towards the end of 2016 was Michael and my three year anniversary. Most anniversaries we usually just go out for a meal, but this year we decided to treat ourselves to a mini break to the Cotswolds! We’d both had lots going on and decided it was time we had a nice break. Obviously I couldn’t resist on vlogging and blogging though, as nowadays I love sharing my life with you lovely lot!
Firstly, Happy New Year! Over the past few weeks I’ve really been thinking and reflecting about the things I’ve been happy with the over the past year, and things that I’m not.
