I spotted this place when I was wandering around checking out the high street and as soon as I saw they did brunch I knew we were definitely heading there the next day for breakfast. It was soooooo good! I recommend the buttermilk pancakes as they were incredible, and I also had some of M’s full english breakfast which was super tasty too. I loved the quirky interiors of this place, it was so fun! They had little hot water bottles just incase you were cold and plenty of games for you to play. A perfect plus to hide away if you ended up in Wells on a rainy afternoon. This place was child friendly and they had wellie boots filled with pencils for children to use. They also have bedrooms and I really want to come back and stay here!! Such a great atmosphere.
REALLY random and I wouldn’t have thought a greengrocers would make a “top 3 places” list, but popping into Country Garden was so great. I wish we had more of them about! I love the idea of picking up fresh fruit and veg and supporting the local community. I really wish I could pick this shop up and move it to my village! Everything seemed so much fresher in there compared to if you just went to a supermarket. It was really fun getting a basket and picking up a few bits for our dinner.
I totally fell in love with this shop! It has 3 big rooms full of gorgeous products from around the globe. From Danish fashion brands to homeware from Portugal and Denmark, they have such an interesting range! I bought an amazing Go Be Lovely perfume that smelt delicious and the scent lasted for hours! They’re currently updating their online shop so I can’t wait to be able to do some online ordering as I had my eye on so many other lovely items. The staff were all so friendly and helpful too — my kind of shop!
I really enjoyed my long weekend away in Wells and I’d highly recommend it as a little getaway. As well as these three top pics there’s loads of cute shops, things to do and gorgeous scenery to see in the area.
