Shopping for Autumn at The Grafton

I recently headed to The Grafton Centre in Cambridge that’s been having a mega refurbishment. It’s not quite finish yet but it’s looking great so far, with a new glass-fronted entrance and new toilets. Other parts of the centre are still being finished off but I’m excited to see it when it’s completed.

I quite often nip into The Grafton Centre as parking is super easy and I always know I can pick up what I need with their massive Boots, Debenhams and H&M, which are my go-to stores.

This time, I was shopping for autumn! These past few weeks have definitely felt so much colder, and on my list I had chunky knits, as I’ve got to stop living in my boring old hoodie! I headed to H&M (we’re lucky to have such a big one!) and it’s fully-stocked with chunky knits. I managed to grab a gorgeous red jumper which isn’t too thick so it’s perfect for this transition into autumn where we still have the odd warm sunny day. I also picked up a chunky knitted cardigan in grey — how have I never had one before!? This was definitely a key piece that was missing from my wardrobe. I teamed both tops with my trusty New Look black skinny jeans.

While I was in The Grafton I headed over to Oasis which had so many cute pieces in for autumn, and to River Island where they had some gorgeous boots and slip on shoes — I could of bought them all!

I then headed to Debenhams to check out Urban Decay and pick up the best eye shadow primer out there, as I’d just ran out of it. I recently got their Naked Heat Palette which is my current go-to palette, I love it.

While I was in Debenhams I checked out their homeware and they had some really great pieces in On my way out I passed Lancôme where they gave me a sample of their foundation as I was on the hunt for a new one. I have to say I’m completely in love with it and I’m going to go back to pick up a full-sized one.

After all that shopping it was time to pick up a Millie’s Cookies and a cup of tea, which is where I go to refuel after a good shopping session. I can’t wait to see The Grafton Centre when it’s finished, especially when the new restaurants open too. They already have Bella Italia and I’m looking forward to seeing which other chains will be joining them.

  1. Love these outfit shots, Cambridge is such a beautiful backdrop. I’m so impressed with what is happening to the grafton, can’t wait to see it when it’s all complete.
