If you hadn’t already spotted in Cambridge there’s a big hotel which has been being refurbished for the past 4 years… and the University Arms has finally reopened, which also brings a new restaurant to town called Parker’s Tavern. Last week myself and a few other bloggers were invited for dinner and a tour to try it out… spoiler alert, it didn’t disappoint!
Hopefully one day I’ll end up staying and reviewing the room and service, but for now, let’s talk about the restaurant and let me show you the fab food we were served!
So let’s chat drinks menu! There was a big range of cocktails and mocktails, but that evening as I sometimes do I stuck to my normal lemonade no ice! The other girls who were a bit more adventurous than me did order cocktails and mocktails and they did look pretty good tbh… I made a mistake of not having one, but that just gives me the excuse to go back with M!
For starter, we were served tempura courgettes which was served with honey and it was delicious! We were also given homemade burrata & heirloom tomatoes with tomato and basil dressing.
For the main course, we were served lamb from Saffron Walden. It wasn’t a steak of lamb it was more like pulled pork but lamb and it was delicious. It was served with broccoli and peas 👌🏻
Sadly the evening was slightly delayed so I couldn’t stay for pudding as it was too late and I needed to get back. However, that’s a good thing as it gives me an opportunity to go back and try puddings another time. I’m planning on going back as I would like to try some other options on the menu.
I was invited along with a few other bloggers to try out the restaurant! All opinions are my own and I would always share an honest opinion.
