The Beauty Studio Has Arrived at John Lewis

The other week I was invited to one of my favourite department stores, John Lewis! This time I was heading to the Cambridgeshire store to check out the new exciting The Beauty Studio which is currently in the Cambridge store and Leeds store, however I think you’ll see them popping up in more John Lewis’… give them time!

You might be wondering why John Lewis would need The Beauty Studio when they already have so many makeup counters? Well have you ever been to a makeup counter and wish the assistant was trained in all the other brands, as you don’t want a whole face of the same brand but you’d rather know which products work well with other brands. Well… this is the point of The Beauty Studio! The John Lewis staff are trained and have tested products from all the counters which means you can shop a Becca foundation to go with a Laura Mercier powder etc… I love this concept and it was so fun going along for the day!

So they offer 3 services which includes:

The Beauty Fix

This is a FREE 20-minute session to help you pick the right product, whether you’re looking for a new nude lipstick or a better foundation match!

Beauty Masterclass

The beauty masterclass is an hour-long group session and costs £15, however the £15 is redeemable against any purchases! The Beauty Masterclass is recommended for anyone who wants to learn trending looks.

Beauty Confidential

This is a one-hour session which is one-to-one and is £35, which is again redeemable off any purchases! This is perfect if you want to learn some key techniques or if you want to find your right foundation but you also want to know how to apply it and what other products are good.

I was gifted the Beauty Confidential experience which was so good as I wanted to find a new foundation and learn some top tips on how to blend it in better as I found my foundation wasn’t sitting great on my face! It was really interesting and they actually used a few products I already love, so was great to find new products that go well with some of my favourites.

We went for a natural look with a smokey eye, which didn’t make me look like a panda! Here’s what was used on my face:

Products

Estée Lauder Perfectionist

BECCA Velvet Blurring Primer Mini

BECCA Skin Love Weightless Blur Foundation in Buttercup

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Liquid Concealer 03

Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder, Translucent

BECCA Be A Light Face Palette, Light to Medium

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter, Opal

Benefit Goof Proof Eyebrow Pencil, 05 Deep

Benefit Gimme Brow+ Volumising Brow Gel, 05 Deep

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion, Original

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Palette, Naked Basics

Benefit BADgal Lash Mascara

BY TERRY Rouge Expert Click Stick Lipstick, Rouge Initiation

So they are all the products they used on my face. I had a few of them already like the Urban Decay eye primer and the Laura Mercier setting powder. Quite a few of these are now on my Christmas list so it’s a good idea to pop along if you’re a bit stuck for ideas for Christmas. You’ll find yourself like me coming away with a massive list!!

If you do fancy booking a session you can book on 01223 222853!
