A Day with Hall & Co

The other week you may have spotted over on my Instagram stories that I spent the day attending a blogging event hosted by Hall & Co. I’ve been following Hall & Co for ages on Instagram. literally they are a pro at everything to do with events, and they also have a sister company called Little Arce Kitchen in St Ives, which if you haven’t been to yet for brunch you are missing out big time!!

We started the day making cocktails which I’d never done before, and we made a virgin cocktail and an alcoholic one. You can download the new Home Entertaining Guide and find the recipes to make them for yourself! Let me just say they were so refreshing, perfect for Easter if you’re hosting or even throughout Summer with a BBQ!

Next we went on to make our own flower bouquets! I love floristry it’s definitely something I regret not going into when I was younger! It was so much fun but it’s not as easy as it looks! I made a big bouquet and luckily Jo helped me by holding mine while I was putting it together as it was getting so big! I’m super impressed with how it came out and I love the colours and messy ‘wild’ style.

Time to end the day with a taste of Easter Feast which you can pick up from Little Arce Kitchen for your Easter hosting. We were served the following:

Free-range garlic & Lemon chicken stuffed with lemons & sage

Moroccan spiced Suffolk lamb shoulder with a honey and rosemary glaze with a mint, caper and red onion Salsa

Potatoes roasted with duck fat

Applewood Cheddar & confit garlic mashed potato

Maple pecan roasted root vegetables

Cranberry & orange port braised red cabbage

Garlic shallot butter seasonal greens with crispy shallot

Johnson’s farmhouse sausage stuffing with apricots, chestnuts & sage

Red wine gravy

Shallot & thyme sauce

Bread sauce

Baked custard tart, calvados soaked prunes, pistachio & maple granola

Rhubarb, pecan & buttermilk pudding

I have to say I left feeling very full and everything was so delicious. I was gutted I could only fit in a couple of mouthfuls of desert, but everything was so full of flavour and you can tell the chef Dom has worked really hard on it all. If you like the sound of the food and would rather not have all the hassle of cooking over Easter then definitely get in touch with Hall & Co. They can even lend you all the table settings too if you fancy a change from your usual set up!
