A Staycation to Brighton

Is it me or does anyone else love a little staycation!? I love a good last-minute deal so M and I headed to Brighton as I had spotted The Grand on Hotel Tonight at a good price. I thought I would share what we got up to while we were there as I love Brighton, so many quirky shops and good restaurants plus you have the sea too!

We booked The Grand via the app HotelTonight which you can get £20 off your first stay if you DM me on Instagram to get a code! We always use HotelTonight when booking it’s great! I personally wouldn’t recommend The Grand I felt it needs a bit of a refurb. I know it’s a building with tons of history but I just felt it could do with a lick of paint and some love, but anyways they are dog friendly and it’s right on the beachfront so the perfect location! Next time we go if we take Arthur I will book Hotel De Vin, and if we go without Arthur I would book the Brighton Habour & Spa hotel which recently has been refurbished and looks amazing! Hopefully that’s enough ideas for places to stay guys!

The thing I love about Brighton is the sea, it’s so nice being able to walk along the seafront and I kinda like the fact it’s not sandy its pebbles so you can mix up with town and beach without feeling sandy and needing to shower!

When I had realised we had been in two shops and spent £100 I must be being serious that Brighton has so many nice shops, you just can’t resist spending! The first shop we headed into was Aesop as M and I have been after a hand wash for ages as we both love the Aesop. It’s one we had used at my dad’s, and I’m a tiny bit scared M going to use it all within a week… he washes his hands SOOOO MUCH!! Anyways we then bought two prints for our gallery wall as I love prints and Brighton definitely has tons of and I fell in love with Dowse! We also went to Hold and Workshop, which are my favourites in Brighton both have plenty of lovely bits and bobs in!

Sooo… FOOD!! One of the best things about going away is trying new food places, and yes of course I searched Anna Edit’s blog for recommendations! She highly recommend Cin Cin and plus they were dog-friendly so we headed there and I have to say the food was delicious, I came home wanting them to open one in Cambridge!! We had the burrata with beetroot then I had a pasta with like onions in it was so tasty! We sat up at the bar overlooking the kitchen and got chatting to the chef and asked for his recommendations for lunch the next day, where he recommended The Chilli Pickle which looks amazing on the ‘gram. Sadly we didn’t go but it’s now our list for next time, and so is The Pond!

As one of our traditions we headed for fries on the beach at Lucky Beach as they do the best fries overlooking the sea, it was so nice!
