It was my mum’s 60th earlier this year and it was left to me to plan somewhere for 10 of us to stay for a long weekend. Let me tell you… it wasn’t easy! But when I found this treasure of a place I was super happy and we will definitely be going back!
We stayed at Eden Hall, which I actually discovered from Rebecca’s Instagram, and I remember following Eden Hall on Instagram after that! The owners also own the brand Plum & Ashby and I can confirm the products are gorgeous, they have them at the house for guests to use!
The house is in Bacton in Norfolk, which is a place I hadn’t been to. It’s definitely more on the quiet side of Norfolk but was perfect for us who just wanted some chill time and somewhere to head for a nice meal, which we absolutely found! We headed to the Gunton Arms and the food was SO good, and they even have a dog-friendly part of the restaurant too which was very helpful.
So let’s chat about the cottage. Firstly, the interiors were stunning. Like can I just move in tomorrow, please?! It gave me so much inspo. The bathrooms to bedrooms ratio was great considering how many of us there were… the downside I think we had a few cold showers but there was a lot of us showering I guess it’s bound to happen! Also if you want to watch Netflix on the TV the internet was a bit s***, but moving back on to the good points now we got the bad ones out the way! The kitchen was LOVELY and big and there was a secure garden which is perfect if you take dogs!
It was such a lovely weekend away, relaxing in front of the fire, going on beach walks, and lots of eating and drinking! I think we all had so much fun! I definitely recommend the cottage, and I’ve already recommended it to a few people!
